With a thrilling vertical drop of over 4,400 feet and an average yearly snowfall of 300 inches, the Snowmass ski area offers incredible skiing and snowboarding in the winter and exhilarating mountain biking and hiking during the summer. The mountain's 23 lifts service 90 ski runs, including two terrain parks and two halfpipes for performing stunts. A variety of classes are offered for children as well as adults new to skiing or just looking to improve their skills. One of the four ski areas surrounding the resort town of Aspen, the other nearby ski areas are Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk.
